Empty-nested and newly single at 47, Wendy McFarquhar sinks her savings into a hot-springs resort in an old mining town. She plans to remake the place–and her life–in time for ski season. Before she can welcome her first guest the local troublemaker turns up dead. Wendy suspects the mining corporation trespassing on her property, but the sheriff detains her best friend for the crime.
